Maryland Alumni

So that's all folks! College is over ... How absolutely crazy. I think there comes a point where you think it's never going to end. Then you fall out of your parents insurance and it all comes to a screeching halt.

So here I am ... CRAZY!!!!!

I've been catching up on a lot of sleep, not as much as I'd like to, mostly because I don't have papers to write and any reason to wake up early, so I'm staying up later. Sometimes, I just wander around the house without anything to do. I'm learning to cherish those aimless times, because they are becoming less and less frequent.

Trinity Girls has a big (HUGE) week coming up. It's the Girls of all Ages Tea . This means a lot of prep work and shopping and set up. Since I'm jobless, I'll be working at the church, which will be super fun for me cuz I get to hang out with my friends AND get paid (as little bit) AND it's flexible as far as time off. It's a good deal and I'm happy to do it.

I ... don't really feel motivated to type anything else. I need to clean my room before I leave.

Take Care All.

I LOVE T-Girls

I posted something yesterday, then took it off because ... I dunno why ... I was still bummed out I just wanted to not dwell in it I guess. But God is good, and He does look after His kids and without me even doing anything the situation was remedied.

Ruby mentioned game night ... I did not seek her out to complain ... she quite by accident, came and talked to me about my current most favorite game Apples. I told her that I was bummed out because I didn't get to come cuz it was a couples thing and before I knew it she said it wasn't suppose to be a couples thing. When she mentioned it to the other leaders she said it was suppose to be for everyone, married, dating, single etc. She understood my point, and next month will make it a point to change the "couples" thing. It might be a small thing to most people, but for me ... I feel really looked out for.

I have a job interview on Monday!

HOLA FOLKS!!!!! IT'S MAY!!!!!

My final formal observation is done.
My portfolio is done and graded.
My last week of full take over is done.

I have a job interview on Monday!
School will soon be over.

Life is GOOD!

I had a super fun day today shopping with my girl Lexy (and Melanie ) The quote of the day will be attributed to her: If I had another balloon exactly like this one, I would give the girl the balloon. It's amazing what we can learn about ourselves and our relationship with God from just watching kids.

I'm just a girl in the world.

Countdown 15 days

Tomorrow (Friday April 20, 2007) is wear your VT colors day.

Whenever I get the opportunity to post, you will notice a countdown at the top, it is a rough estimate of the days I have left of student teaching. When that time expires, I will be free? Sorta.

I have officially decided that I will NOT be going to graduation. Despite what others are telling me, I really don't think I'm going to miss that much. PLUS I don't have finals, so between the time of my last class and when I actually graduate, I will have some lag time, where I won't really be seeing anyone anyway. It will make for a smooth transition. It's a little bittersweet, as most endings are. I've spent so much time being a student, and the next chapter is such a huge shift ... I'm looking forward to it. It's really nice having a direction. Sorta ... I haven't picked a school yet, but there is a clear choice emerging, but who knows, it could all change once I hit interviews.

I'm applying to two schools as of right now, Cornerstone in Bowie, and Lanham Christian in Lanham (where else). Both are promising, Lanham seems to really be interested. Bowie's application is PAINFULLY long, and quite frankly I'm sick of question responses. However, I don't want to let the questions stop me and just take the easy way out, cuz it might not be the easy way in the long run. I also have PG county as my fall back. That's only if I can't find a job anywhere in the private sector, which doesn't seem to be the case.

On a lighter note, I would like to say that I DO want Sanjaya to win American Idol, but only because people are so against him winning, I don't think he can sing, and I don't think he's cute. I DO think that he is an American and I knew that "his people" would be voting for him from day one. Is it fair ... NOPE ... but it wasn't fair when Master P made it through on Dancing with the Stars either. Personally it's time to get over it and move on. All the people complaining about this poor kid, don't care anyway, cuz if they did, the winner of the show would have way more success then they currently seem to be having (minus Kelly Clarkson). ANyway ... that's life.

Keep VT in prayer. GO Hokies! (For now anyway)

Let's give 'em something to talk about -- (In honor of MY PEOPLE)

HI!

Spring Break is almost upon us. HORRAY!!!!!

Life is like a treadmill ... just gotta keep going. Right now, I'm working on cleaning my room (what a surprise), namely putting clothes from the clothes chair back up on the hanger and in the closet where they belong. I keep telling myself I'm not going to put clothes on the chair and put them away when I wear them and I turn around a day or so later, and BAM the clothes are right back on the chair. I dunno whats going on ...

I went shoe shopping yesterday!!! I got 4 pair of summer shoes for $20.00 (plus tax). I am amazing! I discovered that a wedge is actually quite comfortable to walk on all day, even if it is 3in high. I'm still on the prowl for some reasonably priced white flat shoes that don't resemble flip flops.

I have also made some decisions about where I want to work next year. I will keep them to myself for now. I ask that you pray that God leads me in the right direction. Or rather and I listen to His leading. Because He always leads us, it's just a matter of us listening. It's such a huge decision and I really need to be still and hear His voice.

School is going FAMOUSLY!!!! I was all by myself the other day (my teacher had to be with her hubby who's in the hospital cuz he got an infection on his finger, then a rash on his body, now he's in the hospital, but that's a story for another time) anyway. I was alone, and by God's grace everything went like clockwork. Even the two trouble makers in the class were at peace. Not cuz I did anything, cuz I didn't really do anything. God just worked it all out and I would be remiss if I didn't give credit where it was due. My teacher wasn't here today either ... will she be there tomorrow? STAY TUNED!

I think that's all really that's been going on with me. I'm going to try and post a picture of our last staff meeting / professional development course cuz it was so HILARIOUS! I love being an elementary school teacher.

I can't get it to stop underlining ... hmmmm ... yes I pushed the underline button and it's still not working.

Okay well, it's that time again.

However far away, I will always love you
However long I stay, I will always love you
Whatever words I say, I will always love you
I will always love you.
